Sandra Gajraj-Maharaj is a former teacher, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons.), a Masters Degree and a Diploma in Education. In addition to writing the series of children’s books entitled The Saanjali Collection, she has written A Study Guide to the "Jumbie Bird" (Longman Caribbean Writers) [Paperback] - a reference book for secondary/high school and first-year university students of West Indian Literature.
